Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups cooked chicken shredded
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables carrots, peas, corn
  • 1/3 cup onion diced
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon thyme dried
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups biscuit dough
  • 1 egg beaten (for egg wash)

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a large skillet, sauté the diced onions until translucent.
  3. Add the mixed vegetables and cook for another 3-4 minutes.
  4. Stir in the shredded chicken, garlic powder, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  5. Sprinkle the flour over the mixture and stir to combine, cooking for 1-2 minutes.
  6. Slowly pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream while stirring continuously.
  7. Bring the mixture to a simmer, cooking until thickened (about 5 minutes).
  8. Remove from heat and let the filling cool slightly.
  9. Roll out the biscuit dough to about 1/2-inch thickness.
  10. Cut the dough into circles or squares, depending on your preference.
  11. Spoon the chicken filling into a greased baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  12. Place the biscuit pieces on top of the filling in the baking dish.
  13. Brush the tops of the biscuits with the beaten egg.
  14. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown.
